Calgary hasn’t had a race track in almost a decade, but now, out of nowhere, they seem to be popping up all over the place! This summer, Rocky Mountain Motorsports will fill the void Race City Speedway left way back in 2011 with a brand new $25 million facility.

If all goes to plan, the project that Rocky Mountain Motorsports has actually been working on for 6 years will open just outside of Carstairs. This will be a heck of a lot closer than the next closest track to Calgary, which is three hours away in Edmonton.

The new facility will run on both memberships and rental. 50% will be exclusive to those who purchase the annual pass, and the other 50% will be available for reservation by approved groups. Fair’s fair!

They will also offer performance driving schools and will host elite clubs like the BMW, Corvette, and Mustang club.

See, guys? Good things do come to those who wait! Man, it’s going to be a good year for all you petrol heads out there!

When: TBA – Summer 2020
