Well, folks. It happened! We’re happy to report that Spike and Max, the sweet little pup and his seeing-eye cat who were surrendered to the Saving Grace Animal Society last month, have been adopted and are making their way to their forever home in Manitoba as we type.

For those who missed it, the Alix, Alberta animal shelter posted to their social media in January to ask the public if anyone would be willing and able to open their heart and home to the inseparable duo.

Spike & Max have officially been ADOPTED and they are on…

Max and Spike have lived together for their entire lives, most of which was spent outdoors. Unfortunately, in their old age and with Spike’s fleeting eyesight, their previous owners said they were no longer able to give them the care that they needed and placed them under the supervision of the SGAS.

To the organization’s surprise, their posting had almost immedietly blown up online and after generating a ton of support and plenty of interest, they were actually able to find the perfect indoor ‘retirement home’ for the two fur babies.

So there you have it, friends. A happy ending for the public and a new beginning for Spike and Max. We hope this was enough to brighten your Monday. We know that it did the trick for us!
