One short drive for quarantine-ers… one giant leap for province kind! Today marks another big day in Alberta as Banff, Canada’s busiest national park, officially reopens to the public.

Like cities, venues, and businesses across the country, parks will open in phases to protect tourists from the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Banff kicks off their first phase today, allowing day-use visitors as long as they physically distance themselves from others. Really, this shouldn’t be too difficult, considering at this point, we’re all practically professionals.

The park will restrict parking and has increased its staff to enforce these rules, and as we wrote in an article last week, they’ve also planned to shut down the main street starting June 5th.

Banff, Alberta typically sees around 4 million visitors annually, which is insane, so if you do decide to head to the mountains, please, please be sure to stay safe. Wear masks, keep your CLEAN hands to yourself, and follow guidelines as given by the government, but also enjoy yourselves! You deserve it!
