40-storey Stephen Ave. Place to open this year! This is what it’ll look like

8th Avenue is already iconically errand, fun, and food-friendly. If you would’ve asked us a few years ago if they needed any improvements we probably would’ve said “no way” but in true Calgary fashion, the city has given us something we didn’t even know that we needed – 40-storeys of upgraded space, aptly renamed Stephen Avenue Place.

This 620,000 square foot building has been reimagined as a modern office, retail, dining space with breathtaking views. In addition to existing favourites like The Guild, Goro + Gun, and National on 8th, the building will now also have art-spaces, new eateries – including one on of the top floor, 400 feet above the streets of Calgary. Brought to life by the group behind Buffo and Sub Rosa, this 5-star dining experience will be a YYC must try. We can feel it!

In addition to the restaurant, Stephen Avenue Place will also have a new gym, a fancy conference centre, a huge second-floor food hall, and a private lounge among other things… all while being right on the C-Train line, major bus routes, and near inner-city residential buildings.

After several years of construction, boarded up walls and windows, they’re almost finished, Calgary, so get ready! 2020 is the year!

For updates or more information, you can check out the official website here. Man, it’s been a while since we’ve had a major inner-city facelift! We can’t wait to check this place out!
