Seafood is one of the things that Seattle does best which is why it’s no surprise that the city is having it’s first ever Bristol Bay Sockeye Salmon Week. It’s a unique opportunity to try the wild, sustainable and delicious fish in a variety of ways made by local chefs. Here’s when it’s happening and what to expect.

From November 14th to 20th, you’ll be able to try dishes featuring Bristol Bay Salmon from more than 30 of Seattle’s top restaurants. The week is all about giving seafood enthusiasts a new opportunity to enjoy this fish while also celebrating the fishermen and industry.

Some of the participating restaurants include Barolo, Copine, How to Cook a Wolf, Lola, Sushi Kappo Tamura and The Whale Wins to name a few.

Dishes range from a “cured and poached wild sockeye salmon BLT at Local Tide, to grilled wild Alaska Bristol Bay salmon fillet with puree of Romanesco, roasted pine nuts and potato souffle at Barolo.”

If you’re a big fan of salmon, it’s worth trying at least a few different participating spots. After all, the dishes being offered are being made for the week, and are only available for a limited time. With that, enjoy!
