You can take yoga classes with alpacas at this flower farm just outside Edmonton

Blooms on 7 is a flower and alpaca farm near Edmonton that offers a variety of different and magical experiences.

Whether it’s yoga with alpacas, a picnic with your loved ones, or a flower-picking experience, this farm truly has it all. Today, we’ll be focusing on the alpaca experiences, more specifically, Yoga with the Herd. It’s a combination you never knew you needed, and one you’ll certainly never forget.

If the fuzzy friends are calling your name, you might as well answer, because they’ll be waiting for you this summer at the farm.

What to expect

Each yoga class is 45 minutes, and it includes a guided yoga activity along with all the friendly alpacas. However, yoga mats are not provided, so don’t forget to bring your own out to the farm. A water bottle and bug spray are also recommended, although it’s up to you.

This outdoor experience will allow you to breathe the fresh air and get your healthy dose of alpaca attention. You’ll be guided through a unique pairing of breath, movement, and meditation during this class. It will leave you feeling equal parts inspired and chill, all while surrounded by their herd of curious alpacas.

After the class, individuals will have the opportunity to feed the alpacas.

There are several times and dates from now until September, which you can find on the farm’s website. Don’t miss your window of opportunity to pet the alpacas and engage in rest and relaxation with their company.

Do you want to extend the fun times? There is a $5 discount on u-pick flower cups for yoga participants on the day of their class, meaning flowers are $25 instead of $30. If you’re looking to pick some beauties, you’ll be able to stay for an hour and a half and pick 25 different stems.

This whole farm is less than an hour west of Edmonton, so it’s not too bad on gas. In my opinion, it’s definitely worth driving out for all the fun times to be had. If you find yourself heading over into Spruce Grove or Stony Plain, it’s a stop you won’t want to miss.

Whether you’re out with the alpacas or knee deep in flower stems, Blooms on 7 will make sure you have a memorable time.
