Welcome to June, Seattle! This month is starting off hot with a ton of Pride events. There are also immersive exhibits and fun to be had at the Market. Get ready to start June on a high note. Here are 10 of the best things to do in Seattle this weekend!

Seattle Pride in the Park

This annual LGBTQIA+ celebration, with the theme Galactic Love, will feature a can’t-miss lineup of LGBTQIA+ performances, a dance-focused stage curated by Supernova with an adjacent alcohol garden (21+), food trucks, local nonprofit booths, queer vendors, and more.

Hyper: Pride

HYPER is a queer party that describes itself as having the ability “to transform any space into an immaterial world.” The Pride edition is taking place at Cherry with DJs HYPERPOPPERS, Jane Don’t and Rowan Ruthless.

White Center Pride Festival

White Center Pride Festival features over 100 local & LGBT-friendly vendors, local performers, more than 9 beer gardens, delicious food specialties from local businesses, multiple live entertainment venues, main stage headliners, a family play area featuring a super-slide, bouncy house, and more.

Melanie Martinez: PORTALS Tour

Melanie Martinez is a visionary singer-songwriter and visual artist, her dark and whimsical aesthetic, combined with her hauntingly beautiful vocals, sets her apart from other contemporary pop icons. Introspective lyrics explore themes of childhood, identity, and the human experience, resonating deeply with the 2010’s Tumblr crowd if you can remember back that far.

Taking Pride in Capitol Hill

Taking Pride in Capitol Hill, formerly “Clean Sweep,” is back. Organizers provide snacks, lunch, t-shirts (first come, first served, quantities limited), and all the cleaning supplies and instructions you’ll need to help clean the Hill for the start of Pride Month. Be sure to register beforehand.

Pike Place Market 50 years of preservation

This Saturday, June 3rd, the market invites shoppers to enjoy a day of fun-fill activities at the Market. There will be immersive Market history activities, live music, special shopping offers, and chances to win Market prizes.

The National

It may be hard to believe that The National has been at it for over two decades, but that’s the truth. The American indie rock band known for its richly textured soundscapes and brooding and melancholic style is headed to Seattle for a show in Marymoor Park.

Stranger Things: The Experience

An immersive Stranger Things Experience and bar has popped up in Seattle. Enjoy 45 minutes in the Upside Down and spend as long as you’d like at Mix Tape, the 80s themed bar. You’ll get to interact with your favorite characters and of course there will be plenty of photo ops.

Try out the Trailhead Direct shuttle

Trailhead Direct not only expands access to hiking and to the outdoors, but it also helps to ease road congestion. Because it’s a shuttle service it reduces the number of cars on the roads and at trailheads. At the same time, it increases the number of people who are able to experience the amazing trails our state has to offer.
