This is the best place to watch the sunset in Canada, according to a new list

Between all of the breathtaking mountains and waterfalls and sky-high lookouts we have here in Canada, searching for the best sunset spot in the country can seem impossible. But, according to Mornings.co.uk, no place does golden-hour views like the CN Tower.

Using data collected by Tripadvisor in November of 2021, the overseas website ranked places all around the globe where customers had mentioned sunsets in their reviews.

By compiling a complete list, they were able to rank which destinations were revered for their evening displays in each country, and low and behold Toronto’s CN Tower made the cut.

Standing at a breathtaking 553 metres, The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing structure in the western hemisphere. It was named one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World back in 1995 and is also home to the world’s highest wine cellar, according to Destination Toronto.

As for other landmarks, Florida’s Mallory Square, the U.K.’s London Eye, Australia’s Mindil Beach, Japan’s Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, Egypt’s Luxor Temple, and New Zealand’s Sky Tower are also among the premiere sunset destinations.

The website also ranked the world’s the best places to see the sunrise. In Canada, Alberta’s Moraine Lake is the chosen spot. The Banff National Park destination overlooks incredible turquoise waters and is nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

The people of Tripadvisor have spoken and these are results we can get behind.

Happy viewing, Canada!
