Well, I did it again. I went to Reddit for answers when I was feelin’ curious. Something about asking total strangers for their opinion on quite literally any topic makes what you’re asking even more crucial. This time, I wanted to know what the people of this province considered the best Ontario Parks, as I plan on spending as much time as possible outdoors this spring and summer.
Reddit delivered, and I’m here to share. These are the best Ontario Parks, according to Reddit.
This was a most popular vote, and I must agree, as I spent a ton of time here when I was living in Northern Ontario.
According to users, Lake Superior Provincial Park sits along clear blue waters, with great hikes and even better views.
The park opens in early May, so make sure to plan a trip here soon.
Where: Algoma, Ont.
Next up, and second most popular: Sandbanks in Picton, Ont.
Reddit claims that the dunes here are “mesmerizing.” Be sure to head over on a sunny day, it hits different.
The park is home to the world’s largest baymouth barrier dune formation and three sandy beaches.

Killarney has a little of everything, and Reddit says it’s “as good as it gets.”
Killarney is a 645 sq km wilderness landscape with vast backcountry canoeing, expansive views, and plenty of camping, whether you’re looking for a yurt, campsite, or want to hit the backcountry.

Not too far from the GTA, Reddit claims Awenda has the best private camp sites and that the beaches here are incredible.
There are plenty of trails to explore, too, as the park spans 2,900 hectares of land along the shores of Georgian Bay.

I knew this one would be mentioned a lot, and it was. Algonquin Provincial Park has inspired Group of Seven Paintings for cryin’ out loud.
This spot takes up almost 8,000 kilometres of forests, lakes, rivers, and bogs, so if you love a canoe trip, this is your place.
