Canada’s education system has been put to the test against others in the world and it looks like we have some of the best post-secondary institutions around. Canadian universities have once again made another ranking – and it’s on a global scale.

Just last month, U.S News revealed its ninth annual U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities, analyzing the world’s 2,000 top universities and several Canadian universities that have made the cut.

According to the ranking, universities from more than 90 other countries have been ranked based on 13 factors. Global research reputation, Regional research reputation, Publications, and Books are just a few of the factors that determined where each school landed on the ranking.

This isn’t the first time the University of Toronto has been ranked above all others in Canada, this past year. U of T was voted the second most sustainable university in the world – first in Canada.

And in the top 100 list of the World University Rankings for 2023, the highest-ranking Canadian school is U of T in 18th place. It received points for its diversity and global reach.

U of T has definitely come out on top this year and we’re not surprised.
