New show is casting Canadians of all ages to compete in a ‘battle of the generations’

You’ve heard about Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, but what about Are You Smarter Than a Gen Z-er?  A new quiz show called Battle of the Generations is casting Canadians to represent their age group in challenging trivia.

The show will air on CTV and the network is currently looking for “charismatic contestants” from different generations, including Baby Boomer, Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z.

“We’ve seen the memes, read the think-pieces, and maybe even joined in on a debate in the comment section – and if there’s one thing that’s become crystal clear, it’s that every generation thinks differently,” the description says.

As a contestant, you’ll be asked a series of questions that ask you “not only how much you know about your rivals’ generations, but how much you know about your own generation, too.”

“Only one can triumph in this epic battle of time travelling trivia, and they’ll enter The Vault for a chance to win big money!”

According to CTV, you should apply if you’re charismatic and excited to be in front of the camera, a trivia star who wants to show off your IQ, or have a bone to pick with other generations “and want to settle it once-and-for-all.”

All applicants must be at least 14 years old, a Canadian citizen, and availabile to attend a taping in February 2023.

You’ll also be required to submit a 60 to 90-second video explaining why you want to be on the show.

Your trivia skills will be put to the test right away with a few questions you’ll have to answer in your application.

If you think you have what it takes to outwit your Facebook-ranting Aunt Barb, now’s your chance to prove it!

You can submit your application on CTV’s casting call here. Good luck!
