This Canadian town was named one of the best places to visit in the world

Those who have been to Banff can attest to its immense beauty and natural splendour. Crystal blue water, snow-capped mountains, and no shortage of wildlife to observe – it’s pretty much as close as you can get to a fairytale. And we’re not the only ones who think so!

The U.S. News & World Report lists some of the world’s best places to visit in their new ranking, drawing on expert opinions, reader votes, and current trends to uncover some top-notch destinations.

The ranking looks at each destination’s sights, cultures, scenic beauty, food options, and more.

When it comes to the major draws of visiting Banff, the report recognizes its potential for skiing, hiking, camping, and in general, enjoying the great outdoors. As well, the report notes that there are many unique resorts worth looking into if visitors prefer to unwind after adventuring.

“Ski down Mount Norquay, hike to the massive, free-standing limestone pillars known as the Hoodoos, ‘scramble’ up the face of the Stoney Squaw Mountain or bike along Healy Creek. When you are exhausted, retreat to your cozy (and warm) resort, and replenish yourself with a hefty helping of bison meat.”
