From coast to coast, The Great North is home to some of the most beautiful places on the globe but for an unbiased opinion look no further than the Tourism Sentiment Index, which has just released a new list of the 100 most loved travel destinations in the world.

This year, 4 Canadian destinations were named with alongside stunning French Polynesia, Queenstown in New Zealand, Bali, Indonesia and Venice in Italy (just to name a few.)

To be able to name the top 100, we kicked off 2023 with an intensive study of our Tourism Sentiment Index data,” they explained. 

“That’s 1.6 billion online conversations and content pieces publicly available about 21,330 global destinations. Our wealth of data makes this, to our knowledge, the most in-depth study of its kind.”

So who in Canada made this one-of-a-kind ranking?

In 73rd place, with a score of 25.25, Fernie in British Columbia was revered for its skiing and snowboarding, while Kelowna (which is located on the other side of the province) came in 84th with a score of 24.43 for its wineries and vineyards.

In 81st Niagara Falls was given a score of 24.64 for its architecture, followed by Canmore which was ranked 91st with a score of 23.73 for its hiking and rock climbing.

As for the top 10? Here’s who managed to blow its competition out of the water:
