ICYMI, an unexpected partnership between A&W and UK-based chain Pret A Manger was forged a few months back. The good news? The first Pret location in Canada is now officially open – and it’s right here in Vancouver!
The two-year pilot program has been introduced to familiarize Canadians with the UK brand and its menu offerings, which include everything from fresh-made pastries and sandwiches to salads and organic espresso drinks. The OG Pret shop in London has now evolved into over 550 Pret locations around the globe – and now Canada is finally getting a taste.
Honestly, we’re happy to be the guinea pig in this scenario!
What can customers expect throughout Canada? Well, participating A&W restaurants (including the South Vancouver location) are launching a select Pret menu with sandwiches, coffees, and other eats in the second quarter of 2022. Toronto will follow Vancouver’s launch with the opening of its own Pret location by the end of August.
So, whether you stick with your go-to A&W order or mix it up with a Pret Aubergine Parmigiana or Pesto Pasta Salad Box – folks certainly have a mix of tasty, healthy options.
