Imagine being surrounded by lavender on a field while listening to live music. That’s what you can experience at this lavender field near Toronto this July.

Located in Norfolk County, about an hour and a half from Toronto, is Apple Hill Lavender, an ideal destination for anyone looking to escape the city for some rural tranquility, and lavender-filled vistas.

This day-trip destination will be in peak bloom in July, and it is hosting a Lavender Bloom Celebration throughout the month. With four acres of both fragrant and culinary lavender, the picturesque fourth-generation run farm is a must visit Ontario destination this summer.

Kicking off the Lavender Bloom Celebration on July 10 is Brass and Blooms, which includes a brass quintet performance by the talented musicians of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra among the rolling fields of lavender. You can also sip on refreshments and enjoy sweet treats while listening to the music under the sunset and the stars. Tickets for the event are $75.

The field includes purple and white lavender, along with handcrafted products made onsite like baked treats, ice cream, and popsicles.

For those looking for other activities, the lavender field is hosting an Amateur Photographer Night on July 14, which welcomes pros and amateur photographers to this historic barn and picturesque location.

Following that, on July 16, there is a Sunset and Sam’iches, and as per the description of this event: “Sunsets and sweets go hand-in-hand at Apple Hill Lavender. Enjoy a delicious ice cream sandwich made with locally produced ice cream, piled high between two fresh baked cookies made on-site at the Bakehouse. Watch the sunset over the fields and barn for the perfect summer evening.”

Finally, on July 23, Lavender Date Night takes place, and you can enjoy a picnic table lit by twinkling lights, or find a quiet picnic blanket tucked between the rows of lavender where you’ll spend a relaxing evening filled with music, drinks, and fine local eats.
