As long as we’ve got nice weather to look forward to, we might as well make the most of it! The Vancouver Mural Festival has announced the return of the VMF Plaza Series, and things kick off this weekend! Here’s a rundown of what you can expect.

Over the next 2 weekends, you can enjoy 5 different pop-up plazas in neighbourhoods around Vancouver. Of course, these are all spots that benefited from the recent Vancouver Mural Fest, which means a quick public art tour is a must before or after.

But, there’s also a ton to look forward to at each instalment! By partnering with local BIAs, the VMF Plaza Series will have live mural painting, free concerts from local DJs and artists, and even things like drag, dance and comedy performances! These unique events depend on the location, so make sure to double-check the lineups. But, they’re all free, so you could see it all!

Here’s when and where the pop-ups will take place:

  • September 11th– South Granville (Granville & 14th Plaza)
  • September 12th– Marpole (Granville & 67th Plaza)
  • September 17th– West End (Bute & Davie Plaza)
  • September 18th– Punjabi Market (Main & 49th SW Back Lot)
