If you’ve been patiently or not so patiently waiting to get your COVID-19 vaccine, we have some good news. Because starting on May 1st, all adults in Washington will be eligible to get vaccinated. So as long as you’re over the age of 16, your days of waiting for the vaccine are growing shorter and shorter.

This update in the vaccine plan comes as the state vaccination timeline is getting more and more streamlined. Due to new vaccination sites like Lumen Field, the state has been able to keep up with its 50,000 a day people a day schedule. And this is good news for the state as a whole and also for those of us who are still waiting for a vaccine.

It’s also on track with President Joe Biden’s May 1st deadline. And honestly, we’re pretty proud of our state for pulling through on this one because it’s sure as heck been a bumpy road. But with all this in mind, it’s important to remember that you’ll be able to sign up for your vaccine on May 1st. So that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be getting it in May but fingers crossed you can!
