It’s that time of the month again, folks. If you’re apartment hunting and feeling discouraged by the lack of affordable rentals in Vancouver, we can certainly empathize – and we’ve got some options to toss your way. Although we wouldn’t go as far as to say that these rentals are “cheap,” they are the best bang-for-your-buck finds in the city right now.
Without further ado, here are some of the most affordable apartment and condo listings on Rentals.ca.

We’re starting off with one of the cheapest rentals we’ve seen in the city in a while (a long while…) – and while it might not come with anything fancy or out of the box, it’s a solid highrise in one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in Vancouver. Heat and hot water are included in rent, and all the food, shopping, parks, and amenities you could ever want are at your doorstep.

If you’re looking for a cute, pet-friendly studio apartment in the East of Main community, this is a great option. Located just steps away from Trout Lake and the best eats on the Drive, “The Victoria” boasts wide-plank wood flooring, high ceilings, a private outdoor courtyard & BBQ area, and a community garden.
There’s also secure underground parking available for tenants, as well as a fitness studio with spin bikes.

Connaught Apartments boast a number of amenities, including a balcony, bike room, and beaches pretty much at your doorstep. The quiet West End low-rise is located in a tree-lined neighbourhood, giving the building a bubble-like feeling away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown core. In terms of walking distance, you’re still close to all your fave restaurants and shopping, but you’ll have the added benefit of a little more peace and quiet than some of the highrises.

Another great find in West End, Regency Park Residences has one-bedrooms available for less than $2k – a major steal in the city right now. The bright, airy units come with waterfront views and access to an outdoor pool and fitness room.

Last but not least, we have some great two and three-bedrooms at Sawmill Crescent to toss your way. Although we’ve mentioned this listing before, it bears repeating that Fraser Flats is a great find! The apartment building boasts a play area, scenic terrace, green space, and garden area. There’s even a two-level “clubhouse” space complete with a fitness room, steam rooms, and a large entertaining space – perfect for having friends over.
