Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker, and considering we’ve only got a few more days to get into the honky tonkin’ mood, this news could not have come at a better time! This Friday, not only will YYC dust off their boots in anticipation of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, some of the best restaurants in Calgary will kick off a 10-day Stampede Caesar Roundup Festival in celebration of the most wonderful time of the year.

July is to Calgary like NYC is to New Year’s. The city really comes to life and nothing really goes down smoother than YYC’s signature drink on one of the many themed patios in and around the inner-city before or after hitting the grounds.

From July 9th until the 18th, Calgarians can check out one of the spots listed below for a series of unique takes on the drink, each one more inventive and spirited than the last.

Serving caesars with wild garnishes like chicken fried bacon and unheard-of add-ins like maple-infused whisky, each eatery has reimagined the caesar to match the energy of the BBQing, country music, plaid wearing event.
