There’s no doubt that when it comes to Gastown’s most iconic restaurants, Catch 122 is right up there. Having opened in 2012, the spot has become synonymous with delicious brunch in the area. So, you can colour us surprised to find out that they’re straight up moving to North Vancouver next year.
Sure, a few other major names in the city have opened new locations in the ever-expanding region, but this is the first time (that we’ve heard of, at least) of a spot just up and moving altogether. Especially a spot like Catch 122, which we’ve seen many a line for on weekend mornings over the years.

According to the Lonsdale Avenue website, the restaurant is heading to the Promenade Building, which is a brand new mixed-use development right in the heart of Lower Lonsdale.
The hope is to open the new location sometime in spring or summer of next year, and no formal announcement has been made about when their current location is closing. But, keep this in mind when you’re trying to figure out your next brunch destination, because you’re running out of time to enjoy one last meal at the OG spot!
As always, we’ll keep you updated when more news about it comes out!
