A new Seattle restaurant from a local star chef is already booked months in advance

Seattle’s dining scene has had quite the year from openings and closings to chefs moving and more. One of the most notable moves was that of Canlis’ head chef Brady Williams. As you might remember he left Canlis to open his own restaurant, Tomo which debuted only a couple weeks ago.

The new, highly anticipated restaurant seats 28 and serves two 5-course tasting menus for a price of $68, and also offers a weekend lunch. Menu items are inspired by a combination of Williams’ Japanese heritage and chef de cuisine Diana Mata Garcia’s Venezuelan heritage. Their creations utilize Pacific Northwest ingredients, resulting in a truly unique fusion menu.

What perhaps sets Tomo apart the most is the exceptional fine dining experience free of formality and also at a relatively affordable price. The restaurant’s ethos really does live up to its namesake which is Japanese for “pal” or “friend.” So consider treating yourself and a friend or two to dinner at White Center’s newest restaurant.

Now keep in mind, Tomo is booked through October but a waitlist is open. If you’d like to enjoy a full dining experience you’ll need to plan ahead and make room in your November calendar. But if you’re impatient and want to try your luck, you can snag walk-in bar seating and a limited à la carte menu Thursday–Sunday.

With that enjoy and if you’d like to learn more you can click below.

Where: 9811 16th Ave SW
Hours: Thursday & Friday 5 pm-9 pm, Saturday & Sunday 11 am-2 pm, 5 pm– 9:00 PM
