Ain’t nothing better than more dumpling options in town. This is why it’s great to see a new dumpling place called BLND TGER is opening up in Chinatown this summer.

The spot doesn’t have an official opening date just yet. But they are going to be serving up some delicious dumplings once they do open in mid to late June. BLND TIGER is going to be serving dumplings in a Hutong-style restaurant. For those unfamiliar, a Hutong is a narrow street or alley that you find in a lot of Chinese cities.

Chef Phong Vo is in charge of the food operation and he’s bringing all sorts of dumplings to the fold, from Tibetan momos to classic dim sum. Also, this isn’t Vo’s first rodeo in Vancouver foodie circles. He’s worked at Heirloom as well as the now-closed Electric Owl, so he knows his way around the kitchen.

Based on their Instagram, we can really tell that they are going to make some amazing dumplings. The passion for the cuisine is evident in the informative, and mouth-watering, pics they are posting.

Once the spot is open for business, you will be able to visit it at Mamie Taylor’s old space on East Georgia. We’re sure it’s going to be a great place to stop by, eat some great Asian-inspired food and maybe have a drink or two.

We know we are sure to add it to our summer food bucket list.
