Way back in February, we mentioned that we were excited about Burdy, a new sandwich concept coming to the city. Well, it’s been a long time coming, but they’ve finally arrived! With an undeniably unique focus, this sandwich spot has partnered with a Vancouver beer mainstay. Here’s the scoop, folks!

Originally supposed to be a shop, the folks behind Burdy instead decided to convert an old bus as their base of operations. Then, they worked out a deal with Container Brewing to set up there permanently. So, think of it as another noteworthy addition to Vancouver’s already stellar beer/food pairings.

And speaking of pairings, there’s no doubt in our mind that Burdy is bringing the heat. Why? Because as it stands, they’ve only got 5 things on the menu, including 2 kinds of parm sandwiches- Chicken and Eggplant. Alongside these, you can grab a couple of sides like ‘Italian’ fries with parsley and parmesan or a classic Caesar Salad. For dessert, look forward to a ‘Beeramisu’ made using Container’s own nitro stout.

We have to admit- Burdy has found a niche that really hasn’t been done anywhere else in the city. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that we’re also massive fans of Chicken Parm sandwiches. Either way, we can’t wait to try out this amazing new option in the city.
