There’s a nip in the air, leaves on the ground and a growl coming from within. If one thing is clear – it’s that comfort food season is here, friends- and just in time -Ramen Taka, a Vancouver favourite has announced that they’ll be opening a brand new location right here in Calgary!

Located at 843 17 Avenue in the SW, right across the street from Tomkins Park, hungry folk will soon be able to enjoy a piping hot bowl of their beloved noodle soup.

Though we’ve never checked this place out ourselves, Ramen Taka Notsume has received glowing reviews from both customers and food critics alike – and it’s clear why!

With close attention to their broth, Ramen Taka prides itself on its authentic recipes inspired by the owner’s mother and is backed with years of experience – however one of their coolest menu items is not simply revered because it tastes amazing.

Friends – start training now, because they also have something called a Giga Dragon Ramen challenge – where the customer is tasked with eating a GIANT bowl of ramen 5x the regular size. Finish this bad boy within 30 minutes – and it’s free.

Think you can handle it? It won’t be long until you find out!

Ramen Taka will be opening their doors to the public sometime next week- however, as they don’t have a specific date quite yet, keep checking back or visit their website below for updates.

It’s only a matter of time, Calgary!
