The coffee powerhouse is testing out a unique lentil-based whipped cream right here in Washington. Ready to top your coffee with even more beans? Let’s get into some details.

While alternative milk is as common as dairy milk these days, vegan whipped cream is not. And with the holidays coming up folks will be ordering all sorts of whipped cream topped drinks like pumpkin spice lattes, peppermint hot chocolate, and more. Of course, Starbucks wants to make sure that dairy enjoyers and vegans alike can both have a suitable whipped cream.

That’s why the chain is testing out a vegan whipped cream at two locations around Seattle. One location is undisclosed and the other is located at 1350 156th Avenue NE in Bellevue. Customers are welcome to order the alternative and give feedback so that the company can work towards releasing the whipped cream as a widely available option nationwide. Now it’s unclear how long this testing process will go on so we recommend visiting ASAP.

Whether you’re vegan or not it might be worth a try so that you can have the bragging rights of being a Starbucks guinea pig. It’s a big step for the company and we’re happy to see them continuing to create planet-friendly and food choice-friendly options for consumers. If you’d like to learn more you can click here.
