When we say send noods, this is exactly what we mean. Edmonton is going to be only the second city in Canada for Mogouyan, an authentic beef noodle brand that has been around for decades. They only opened recently in Toronto, and Edmonton is the next stop!

While the name might not ring any bells here, Mogouyan has been serving up hand-pulled noodles in Lanzhou City, China since the 1970s. It’s a fitting home base, as the region has been known for the dish since the turn of the 19th century, or some 200 years. Not bad, not bad.

But back to what we can actually expect when it arrives. Mogouyan specializes in a variety of hand-pulled noodles, from thin and round to flat and, well, fat. If the Toronto menu is anything to go off, you can expect 5 different varieties to try out.

Meanwhile, you’ve got even more options when it comes to what they’ll arrive. While the beef noodle option is undoubtedly a must, they’ve got both broth and sauce-based varieties. Like some Dan-Dan Noodles, or maybe a little stir-fried action with some shrimp.

The only problem? While we know where they’ll be setting up shop (West Edmonton Mall), we don’t know how long we’ll have to wait before the doors open. Oh well… we’ll make sure to keep you updated once we find out!
