Spring has officially sprung here in the PNW but if there’s one thing we know about our region, it’s that we have unpredictable weather. The proof is in the pudding, all of that winter snow, flooding, fog, and more. So what exactly does this spring have in store for us? Here’s a look at the extended Seattle spring forecast.

According to the Office of the Washington State Climatologist, spring is looking cold and wet. But hey April showers bring May flowers, right? For a little extra detail, April temperatures are expected to be below normal and precipitation is expected to be above normal. Nothing us hardy Seattle folks can’t handle.

At the moment it looks like that weather trend will continue all the way into June. Currently, “the three-month outlook for April through June is calling for increased chances of below-normal temperatures statewide.” However, the precipitation outlook is a toss-up, so we’ll bank on our unpredictable weather to deliver us with hopefully less rain.

Even with a forecast that’s perhaps less than ideal, we can all look forward to the bright, sunny, and clear Seattle summer days that are surely ahead. Happy spring folks!
