Earlier this summer we let you know that J Lo was coming to town, and it appears like she’s arrived. The new Netflix movie The Mother has apparently started filming in Vancouver, with Jennifer Lopez as the leading lady! Curious about it? Keep reading, folks.

If you need to be caught up, The Mother is a new Netflix thriller focusing on a female mother/assassin who comes out of hiding to protect her daughter from dangerous men. Since our initial announcement, a few other notable names have joined the cast as well.

Gael García Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle), Omari Hardwick (Army of the Dead), and Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid’s Tale) will be joining Lopez. Meanwhile, relative newcomers Paul Raci (Sound of Metal) and Lucy Paez (playing Lopez’s daughter) have also been added to the cast. Basically, we’ve got a real mixed bag to work with, and we’re excited!

Production kicked off last week in downtown Vancouver, but is set to last until early 2022. Keep your eyes peeled folks- you might just see an A-list celeb working (or relaxing) around the city over the next few weeks/months!
