Dave’s Hot Chicken, a.k.a. that fried chicken spot Drake happens to be part owner of, is opening a new location in Toronto this week.

The popular American fast food chain came onto the scene here in Toronto in 2021, having opened its first location in the city’s Parkdale neighbourhood.

Now with three locations in the city and expansion plans for B.C. and Alberta, the chain marks its fourth Toronto location with an opening near Yonge-Dundas Square.

Dave’s Hot Chicken has formally announced on social media that the new location will open this Friday, May 12th.

The restaurant will open at 328 Yonge Street and will stay open extra late on Fridays and Saturdays, from 11 AM to midnight.

From Sunday to Thursday, the hours are 11 AM to 11 PM.

If you know the area, it’s a great location considering Toronto Metropolitan University students will have these eats readily available.

And those who aren’t familiar with the menu are in for a treat. The chain has a variety of combos to choose from, which include fried chicken tenders, sliders, fries, and sides like pickles or kale slaw, with a side of delicious Dave’s sauce.

You’ll also have the option to choose your spice level from no spice or mild to extra hot or “reaper” — if you dare.

Dave’s Hot Chicken has over 100 locations open for business, with plans to continue expanding across Canada. We can’t wait.
