Just in time for some of the hottest weather we’ve seen in a long while, Lanny Boy’s Ice Cream, Calgary’s highly anticipated pet-friendly pop-up has officially opened its doors! This weekend, leash up your fur baby and pop in for a treat fit for two!

STOP & SMELL THE ROSES AT NIKKA YUKO’S OPENING WEEKEND

Established in 1967, Nikka Yuko was “was built to recognize contributions made by citizens of Japanese ancestry to the multi-cultural community of Lethbridge,” and emulates the many authentic gardens overseas. This place by far one of the most beautiful spots in all of Alberta and this June, rescheduled from last month, it finally reopens for the season! Check it out, Calgary.

ENJOY A BREW & A VIEW IN GOOD COMPANY

We hope you’re thirsty, Calgary because starting this Tuesday, June 1st to Tuesday, September 7th,  Calgarians will FINALLY be able to book out picnic tables and enjoy a European-style drink or two at various parks around the city as part of a new pilot program encouraging people to get out and stay safe during a long hot COVID summer. Be safe, be responsible and half fun, friends!

BREAK OUT THE NEON FOR COBB’S ’80S ADULT NIGHT 

Get ready, folks, because this spring in celebration of the season and fashion’s greatest hits, Cobb’s Adventure Park will be holding a totally ’80s adults-only event where guests can enjoy the sun, themed drinks, food and roos! From neon legwarmers to jelly bracelets, Grace Jones and Madonna, this wacky evening is going to be an incredible time for everyone… well, except your kids who will have to stay at home while you frolic with adorable farm animals.

There’s not much time left, friends! This weekend check out The Smartest Girl In The World, a heartwarming play about complex family dynamics, redemption and personal drive with incredible performances, beautiful sets and amazing writing by the folks at Calgary’s StoryBook Theatre.

RE-CENTER WITH AN OUTDOOR YOGA CLASS 

Inhale, exhale, stretch and sweat at this all-ages, totally free Yoga class in Stanley Park. After the year we’ve just had, there’s really no better way to spend an afternoon than by winding down and breathing in some fresh air with your toes in the grass.
