Everyone is looking forward to the weekend. At least we are.

So, that’s why we’ve done the hard work and brought you a list of cool events and fun things to do this weekend. After all, the summer is slowly coming to an end so it’s about time you went out found something to do to soak up those lost few rays of sunshine! It’s the last weekend of August for Pete’s sake!

Have a fun brunch with friends

One of the joys of the weekend is that for most people, it’s the prime time to enjoy some great food and maybe a few stiff drinks. Brunch is really one of the few glorious joys we get in this life, so we’ve put together a list of some great spots for you to brunch at this weekend.

Hike up Grouse Mountain

Looking to feel the burn? Well, the Grouse Grind will make you feel a burn something fierce. There’s also going to be some beautiful weather this weekend, so it’ll be the perfect day to do it. It’s no fun doing that bad boy in the heat! Be sure to download your ticket beforehand and, when you’re done, get some good old-fashioned relaxation.

PNE Fair 2021

Unleash your inner child because the PNE is the place to be this weekend. Enjoy some of the classic rides, great fair food, and good vibes. And, not to mention all the great live music and events happening there over the next little bit. This weekend even includes an ABBA tribute act which is a must-see.

Relax a little bit for once!

We all could use a little more relaxation in our lives. Work, family, and life, in general, can get us all wound up, so luckily there are a ton of places in the city that are perfect for some R and R. Sit back and chill out at gorgeous gardens, wonderful parks and interesting galleries.

Go swimming in the buff

We’re sure you’ve heard of Wreck Beach before. It’s Vancouver’s local nude swimming hole! But, did you know that it was recently picked as one of the best places in the world to take a skinny dip? So, if you’re looking for something to do, why not live your best west coast hippy lifestyle at this iconic beach

Vancouver has a happening food scene. And there are places opening up all the time that you have just got to try if you call yourself a serious foodie. Whether you’re craving Greek food, fried chicken sandwiches, or some high-end French cuisine, these new restaurants are sure to knock your socks off.

Experience some Latin music at Carnaval Del Sol

We’ve raved about this festival a lot, but this weekend is your last chance to check out this massive Latin American festival happening in the city. Whether you want to enjoy some great food or some cool cultural events. This weekend you can check out a really cool musical performance near Concord Pacific Place

Visit the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival

Speaking of last chances, if you haven’t made your way out to the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival this is their penultimate weekend. This Instagrammable place is just a quick jaunt into the Fraser Valley from Vancouver. Wander around the tall sunflowers, take in that country air and get lots and lots of pictures.

Watch a live Vancouver Whitecaps game

Sure, the hockey season is over, but that doesn’t mean there still aren’t awesome Vancouver sports teams. Matter of fact, this Sunday the Vancouver Whitecaps are going up against Real Salt Lake for a home game. Tickets are not too expensive so get them before they run out!

Do some craft shopping at the South Granville Market

And if you’re feeling like indulging your inner (or outer) shopaholic, this market at South Granville is something you’re going tot want to check out. Vendors will be selling handcrafted and beautiful jewelry, artwork, clothes, and much, much more. It’s the place to check out some of Vancouver’s cutting edge designers and creatives
