Another glorious weekend is almost here – and we’re hoping for weather as beautiful as what we’ve been getting throughout the week! Regardless, there are a ton of fun things to do in and around Vancouver from July 15-17 – so let’s get into it.

Vancouver Folk Music Fest

From Blues Hall of Famer & Grammy winner Taj Mahal, to award-winning singer Allison Russell – there is a ton of talent slated to perform at this year’s Folk fest. Lounge at Jericho Beach all weekend long and enjoy performances by Folk legends and new artists alike.

Benny Benassi

An absolute heavyweight in the EDM world is coming to Vancouver on Friday, July 15th – so get ready to dance it out to ‘Satisfaction!’

Greek Summerfest 

An amazing lineup of entertainers and food vendors is slated to bring the best of Greece to Vancouver this weekend.

Playland 2022

Playland is open for business until the end of August – so why not take advantage and ride some rides, chow down on some Carnival fare, and enjoy some amazing summer concerts at the PNE?

TGIF South Granville

If you haven’t been to TGIF at least once this summer – you’re missing out. The food truck pop-up series is full of mouthwatering options, not to mention live music and great shopping along South Granville. This is the perfect event to pop in and out of throughout the weekend if you’re in the area!

Sip on tropical-themed drinks

Vancouver has no shortage of tropical-inspired bars and cafes if you’re looking for a little staycation within the city. Vibrant colours, unique tiki-themed drinks – and tiny drink umbrellas all around!

Summer paella at Como Taperia

This one definitely bears repeating – but summertime paella made by the Paella Guys is the perfect way to start off your week. Check their schedule above and treat yourself to some delicious tapas and drinks this week, because why not.

Hit up a Farmers Market

A farmer’s market is always a good idea if you’re looking for something more low-key but still delicious to do over the weekend. And now that the sun is most definitely out, there’s really no excuse not to go.

Who doesn’t love to pluck fresh berries from their vines in the summer and savour them as you fill up (or attempt to fill up) your U-pick barrel?! Plus, you can always freeze your pickings and use them to bake a homemade pie in the colder months.

Free yoga in Whistler

ICYMI, Lululemon is offering free outdoor yoga sessions to folks at locations all around BC, including Vancouver, North Van, Whistler, Victoria, and Kamloops. BYO-mat and settle in for a great session! This Friday, July 15th, you can enjoy a free session at Rebagliati Park in Whistler from 9 am to 10 am.
