Welcome to the start of a new week, Toronto! While the forecast isn’t spectacular, the recent announcement that we’re moving into Step 3 has us seeing things through rose-coloured glasses. And besides, there are tons of options, whether you want to stay indoors or brave the weather.

Here are 10 of the best things to do in Toronto this week.

HEAD TO YOUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANT

There are a few things to look forward to this week, and perhaps none more so than the return of indoor dining. Things officially reopen on Friday, so we say call up your local spot and ask them if you can make a reservation! Need some inspo? Click the link above for some of the best vegan restaurants around.

When: Friday, July 16th

DANCE AT THE CLUB ONCE AGAIN

That’s right, nightclubs can also reopen this week! While things might be a little iffy (since masks are still required in indoor spaces) we’d be lying if we said that we are chomping at the bit to dance the night away once more. These are maybe the biggest ‘return to normal’ moves we’ve seen in a year, so we’re excited about it.

When: Friday, July 16th
Where: Whichever ones decide to reopen!

WATCH A MOVIE

Cineplex was also chomping at the bit, since they were the first to announce the return of movie theatres! The chain will be reopening all of its locations around the province this Friday. And, we have to admit, we want to check out the new A24 film Zola, which is based on an infamous Twitter thread from 2015.

When: Friday, July 16th
Where: Theatres across Toronto

OR A BLUE JAYS GAME

With any luck, the province moving into Step 3 means that the Blue Jays will be back sooner rather than later. While we get ready for live sports once more, we’re going to train by eating hot dogs and drinking beers on our couch and watching a game. Maybe we’ll get our roommates to emulate foul balls and throw popcorn at us, too.

When: Games throughout the week
Where: Via streaming and television services

RETURN TO MOOBY’S

Rejoice, for the fictional-but-not burger chain is coming back to the city! Created by Kevin Smith for his various movies, the pop-up actually did surprisingly well the first time around. Well hey, Kevin Smith is not one to shy away from his dreams, and that extends to good burgers we guess.

When: Returns Wednesday, July 14th
Where: 250 Adelaide Street

EXPLORE A NEARBY LAVENDER FIELD
