2021 VIRTUAL CNE

Let’s go to The Ex (without getting off the couch!). The CNE is kicking off this weekend with a whole lineup of virtual programming. This year’s end-of-summer tradition will be a mix of free and paid entertainment and activities for all age groups, from chef-guided cooking lessons to sand sculpting classes to the CNE’s iconic SuperDogs show! Your ticket to everything that this year’s festival has to offer also comes with free admission to CNE 2022.

BEYOND MONET 

This breathtaking exhibit is now open for the first time in the world —  here’s a sneak peek so you know exactly what to expect. Over 400 of Claude Monet’s works come alive before your eyes through vivid 360-degree displays that swirl all around you, enhanced by sound effects and music. Forget the world and get lost the mind and masterpieces of this great painter.

EATS NIGHT MARKET

Every weekend, head on out to the food truck set up of the century at Scarborough Town Centre. Parking and admission are totally free, and you’ll want to bring your appetite for all the international cuisine options. The night market is open from 5 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and until 10 p.m. on Sundays, so you can grab a late-night bite in the warm summer weather.

MIXTO FESTIVAL

This music festival will bring communities and cultures together in celebration of Toronto’s diversity. “Mixto is the representation of all the elements of diversity in our city, and our community of artists and revellers,” says the event’s description. The festival will feature live performances, works by local artists, and of course, food and drinks! Tickets can be purchased in advance on Mixto’s website.

CABANA POOL BAR SUNSET SWIM

Every Friday night, head over to Cabana for the ultimate pool party. Sip on Moët while you cool off in the pool and soak up the sunset views. Live performances and DJs will make you want to dance the night away. This event is bottle service only, so round up your squad and get ready to make some summertime memories.

TORONTO BOAT PARTY LAST CRUISE OF SUMMER

We still have a few weeks left of summer, but this is your last chance of the season to board the party boat for a cruise around the city’s waters. CARASSAUGA DRIVE-IN FESTIVAL OF CULTURES

Enjoy a range of incredible performances from local groups and recording artists from the comfort of your car. The event will feature 5 shows, 20 dance and musical performances and food trucks serving up all kinds of delicious eats. Protocols are in place to ensure that you’ll enjoy the festival safely.

BACKYARD @ STACKT

Looking for some summer fun without spending a dime? You just found it! This all-day event offers a full city block of good eats, live music, workshops, night markets and brand experiences for you to take part in. You can shop for local goods at the BIPOC Night Market, bust a move with a Bacardi cocktail in hand, chow down on fried chicken, and much more.

SUGAR RUSH TORONTO

A new immersive open-air experience with 40,000 sq ft of colourful candy-inspired installations is open at Square One Shopping Centre. You’ll get to walk among larger-than-life candy art displays which will provide you with tons of Insta pic opportunities. Additionally, you can watch live performances, custom parade floats, and even bring your pup for the event’s dog-friendly days!

THE 2021 QUEEN’S PLATE
