As if Halloween wasn’t already the sweetest day of the year, a 5-year-old Oilers fan and Halloween enthusiast stole the hearts of many this past weekend, thanks to a now-viral TikTok showcasing his expertly-made costume.

With a smile that’ll melt the common hockey fan faster than a pocket Kit-Kat, Easton Oetting and his dad have become local celebrities practically overnight.

@eastonoetting @Edmonton Oilers @NHL @Oilersnation.com @NHL on ESPN I found a new recruit to clean the ice for this season!! #happyhalloween #nhl #edmontonoilers #diy #specialneeds #fun #happy #hockey #halloween ♬ original sound – Easton Oetting

Complete with the team’s familiar logo, a steering wheel and license plate, Oetting, who has duplication syndrome, was fitted with a tiny handmade Zamboni box which fit perfectly over his wheelchair.

As we already mentioned, the video has gotten some serious attention, with social media users liking and commenting with words of encouragement, but that’s not all.

Not only was it liked by the team and left wing-player Evander Kane, but the NHL also reposted it to their main Twitter account – which has an astounding 6.7 million followers (and counting.)

As the organization put it so plainly – this really was the costume of the year and we hope to see what else they create in the future!
