The Caesar was invented in Alberta & there’s going to be a festival to celebrate in Calgary

Albertans have no shortage of things to be proud of, but the invention of the Caesar cocktail is one of the tastiest!

Created by Walter Chell In 1969, Canada’s tangiest sip is deeply rooted in Calgary’s history and this spring you’ll be encouraged to celebrate the city-born sip by attending YYCaesarFest.

Featuring local food, craft beer and merch, fans of the hangover remedy can taste test 40 different versions of the Caesar, but you’ll have to plan ahead!

Guests will only have 2 days (Saturday, May 18th and 19th) to try as many as they can and that will be no easy task!

From wacky ingredients to unique garnishes, this event is where bartenders go to play, so you won’t want to miss it!

If you’re interested, tickets are on sale now and cost $25 a day or $45 for the whole weekend.

Either way, you’re going to have a blast, so come thirsty!

There’s no other experience quite like it!
