Just when we thought the Vancouver housing market couldn’t surprise us anymore it has. This house has to be one of the craziest and potentially coolest homes we’ve seen on the market ever. If you thought you had a serious collection of objects, just wait until you take a peek inside this cornucopia of object history.

Of course, because this home isn’t brand spanking new and in the faux chateau style, the realtor has described it as a development lot. And that’s a real shame because clearly, this home belongs to one of Vancouver’s last truly unique individuals. But hey, times are changing arent they?

As you can see by the photos the home is currently chock full of someone’s collection and we have to say we’re super into it. It’s in stark contrast to the minimalist styles that are currently in and a reminder of how cool maximalism and kitsch can be when done right. Anyway, you probably want the details of this home.

It’s a 2 story, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom home and comes in at just over 3900 square feet. Plus it was built in 1947 so you still get some character. But because this is Vancouver it will cost you $1.49 million even though it’s a “development lot”. With that in mind, we hope someone will save this cute old home instead of tearing it down. Because this city definitely needs fewer new builds.
