If the past two days are an indication, the ski hills of Metro Vancouver are in for another insanely busy season. And since we’ve already gone over the hills that are reopening for the season and the top ski resorts in BC, we thought we’d go ahead and share this unique weekend getaway option. Situated just outside of Kelowna is this extravagant chalet for rent at Big White Resort – let’s get into it.
The Snowpeaks Lodge claims to be one of the most luxurious homes on the mountain, bar none. Finished in 2019, the home has all the amenities you’d need to make a mountain getaway one for the books.
With 6 bedrooms and 10 beds, the lodge can sleep up to 16 guests at a time. And, since every bedroom has an ensuite, you won’t have to worry about taking turns getting ready for the slopes each morning. Then, once you grab your gear from the boot room, all you do is step outside and take advantage of the ski-in/ski-out location.

Of course, the apres-ski is almost as important as the actual skiing (at least for us). Luckily, there are ample options here, ranging from both a sauna and a hot tub, to a full-sized pool table in the family room, to a home theatre for curling up with a movie.
Heck, even the most dreaded of the ski getaway activities (cooking for 5 of your friends, at least) is a breeze thanks to a gourmet kitchen with tons of counter space. Will that stop us from just heating up hashbrowns and making a barebones ‘scramble’? Absolutely not.
