Alberta has a natural waterslide that you can enjoy for FREE & here’s where

Alberta is full of secrets, hidden gems, and unique destinations but very few are as exciting as the Scalp Creek. Located on the grounds of Ya Ha Tinda Ranch and Bighorn Campground, adventure seekers will find a natural waterslide and the hottest way to cool off on a warm day.

Now we’re not going to lie, this one is tough to find but is absolutely worth the trouble, as confirmed by adventure seeker and YouTuber, Jesse St. Louis, in the video below.

Those willing to trek through the federally owned site can enjoy a full day of fun, sun and serious speed as you fly down the earth-made ride.

To get there, you are going to need a compass, a good pair of shoes and of course, a map!

According to the government, visitors should head NW from the campground crossing at Bighorn Creek and Scalp Creek following the Scalp Creek Trail.

Once there you’ll need to continue along the creek (instead of going up the cut line), then cross the creek 4 times before you get to the end of the trail, which is considered novice to intermediate and will take about 3 hours to complete roundtrip.

It’s important to note, however, that this will depend on your speed and ability, so plan accordingly and keep your eyes on the prize.

While it’ll take a while to get there, there are plenty of things to do in and around the area even after you’ve zipped down the slide a few times.

At Ya Ha Tinda, not only are there the waterslides, but there’s also a hidden waterfall, horses and the incredible Eagle View Point, so check it out!

This really is a one-of-a-kind experience not to be missed by adventure seekers.
