Dream job alert! If you dabble in nature and lifestyle photography, you could get paid to do what you love and get a free overnight getaway for you and your friends. Hipcamp is looking for photographers to snap pictures of the camping sites, tents, cabins, yurts, and treehouses available to book through their website.

The process is easy. First, you have to fill out the application to become a Hipcamp Photographer. If you’re accepted, you can start browsing through a list of assignments available only to their photographers. Then you can claim the property that you want to shoot and then book your overnight stay or day trip.

Hipcamp says that you’re more than welcome to bring friends or family to help you enjoy it to the fullest, but no more than the number of guests that the property allows. In fact, they prefer that you bring at least a friend or two so that you have some people to feature in your photos. If you’re going solo, Hipcamp says to come prepared with a tripod so you can snap some photos of yourself on self-timer.

After your shoot, you can get paid $75 to $100 per assignment by uploading 15 to 20 photos. It’s not a full-time position, but there’s no limit to how many assignments you can take, as long as you can commit to doing your best work. The photos you take should showcase where the camper will be sleeping, the surrounding landscape, and people partaking in activities on the land.

New assignments are added every day on Hipcamp’s site. Some of the properties you’ll find on the website right now include a stunning lakefront campsite with a sauna, a charming ranch, a tiny house, and more. Hipcamp told Curiocity that the program is open to photographers in the U.S. and Australia too.

If you’re looking for a side hustle that allows you to adventure with your friends, you better spruce up your portfolio!
