Excited about hockey season? Well, get extra excited because this weekend you’ll have the opportunity to check out the Kraken Community Iceplex. Not only can you see the facilities but you’ll even be able to step out onto the ice. Here are the deets.

From September 10th-12th you can check out the Kraken Community Iceplex solo, with friends or your family. It’s the first time that the facility is being opened to the public and that means you could be one of the first people to check it out. Just imagine the bragging rights you’ll have.

Now there are a few different ways to enjoy the complex. You can sign up for one of several public skate sessions, stick & puck or a try hockey session. Or if you simply want to observe you can watch local figure skaters strut their stuff, shop at the Kraken Team Store or check out the family fun zone with games, prizes, ball hockey and more! Theres truly something for everyone.

Keep in mind that if you plan on visiting the Iceplex you will need to wear a mask at all times regardless of your vaccination status. And if you want to sign up for any of the events on the ice you’ll need to register online ahead of time.
