Looking to treat yourself on a warm summer’s day? We might just have the perfect option for you. Starting next week, VanDusen Botanical Garden will start offering gourmet 4-course picnics, complete with your own private picnic table in the garden to enjoy it. Here’s what to know about this new option in the city.

For the food, VanDusen has partnered with Truffles Fine Foods, a gourmet catering service that has been around for over 15 years. For this picnic, they’ve created a menu inspired by Italian al fresco dining. This menu includes sandwiches, roasted chicken and a variety of sides. As a bonus, they’ve also got a completely plant-based menu available too.

The picnic includes a 2-hour admission to VanDusen Garden, a dedicated server for your meal, and a private picnic table overlooking the Great Lawn. Feeling like a libation? They’ve got you covered there as well, since the picnic area is actually fully licensed. Beverages do cost extra, but honestly, we think you’re getting a great deal here.

Reservations can be made for up to 6 people, and will be available Wednesday through Sunday starting next week. For more information on this amazing picnic experience coming to Vancouver, just click the link below!
