Get ready to add a little colour to your life, because a huge floral trail is opening in downtown Vancouver this week. Once again, Fleurs de Villes is set to take over dozens of storefronts, and all in support of breast cancer research. Curious? Here’s what you can expect!

Now a global initiative, Fleurs de Villes isn’t just in Vancouver, but cities like New York, London and Chicago. The result of a collaboration between local business development associations, florists and cities, the experience is a gorgeous showcase of floral design in a free, easy-to-access way.

How easy? All you gotta do is walk a few blocks! With both indoor and outdoor options, there are over 50 different displays to check out. These could be as simple as a ‘floral umbrella’, or as complex as a floral entryway to the Vancouver Art Gallery. Whatever you end up seeing, you can expect some incredible colours and stunning designs.

These displays will be scattered around a few different streets downtown. Operating as a kind of loop, it starts on Robson Street, then winds north up to Waterfront and the Vancouver Convention Centre, and then loops back around. So, expect to see at least a couple while you’re downtown, even if you didn’t plan to!

You’ll be happy you did. After all, this isn’t Fleurs de Villes’ first rodeo in the city. In fact, this is the 5th anniversary of the experience in Vancouver, and things just seem to get better each and every year!
