We’ll admit, it’s weird mashups like this that always pique our interest. We stumbled across a very, let’s say, fun option for the sporty folks in the city. Turns out that you can do yoga inside Rogers Place this month- here’s the scoop on it.

Organized by the Oilers Entertainment Group, the experience is a 60-minute long ‘gentle flow’ style session. Naturally, the focus is on shedding the layers of winter and re-energizing for summer, which is something we can very easily get behind.

Taking place in Ford Hall, the class will also be accompanied by live music. So really, the organizers have gone all out with the planning here. And, as a final little bonus, a portion of ticket sales will be going towards the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, which runs programs aimed at Edmonton’s most vulnerable populations, often through the context of hockey.

All you need? Well a mat for starters, and a water bottle wouldn’t be such a bad idea, either. Aside from those necessities though, just round up a couple of friends for what is sure to be a very interesting yoga session in Rogers Place!
