Here’s where the new season of ‘Yellowjackets’ was filmed in & around Vancouver

The wilderness is calling, and Season 3 of Yellowjackets has answered. Filmed predominantly in Metro Vancouver, the haunting series is back after nearly two years, with the first two episodes streaming now. While there will be no spoilers here, we will say that it’s shaping up to be a riveting third season ahead!

Season 3 cast

The psychological drama follows the lives of the survivors of a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness, featuring adult leads Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Simone Kessell, and Lauren Ambrose, and their teenage counterparts: Sophie Nélisse, Samantha Hanratty, Liv Hewson, Courtney Eaton, Sophie Thatcher, and Jasmin Savoy Brown.

Also returning to our screens is Elijah Wood, whose character first appeared in Season 2.

Finally, there are two new guest stars to look out for this season: Hilary Swank and Joel McHale. While Swank appeared at the end of the teaser trailer released in December, her role has not yet been revealed. According to Deadline, she’ll be a “recurring guest star,” with the potential to become a series regular if the show is renewed for a fourth season.

Season 3 filming locations

Like the seasons that came before, Season 3 was largely filmed at locations around Vancouver.

“We’re thrilled to see another season of Showtime’s Yellowjackets come to life on screen, showcasing the cinematic beauty of British Columbia,” shares B.C. Film Commissioner Marnie Gee of Creative B.C.

“This season features iconic locations across Greater Vancouver and its surrounding regions, including Burnaby Mountain, Surrey, Langley, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Squamish, and Harrison Peak—each offering a stunning World of Looks™ that seamlessly transforms into any setting a story demands.”

Last season, this included Camp Howdy in Belcarra (“Camp Green Pine”), AKA the site of Lottie’s cult. While specific Season 3 filming locations have not yet been shared, it’s definitely worth heading to the locations above to see where your favourite scenes (so far) might have been filmed!

Season 3 release schedule

Binged the first two episodes and hungry for new ones? Fans in Canada can stream the next episode on Crave TV on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, with weekly episodes to follow.

Stay tuned for more info on Season 3 as it comes.
