Shocked? Not really! Canada is home to two of the world’s wealthiest cities according to a new report for 2024.

Global leader in residence and citizenship by investment, Henley & Partners has released its list of the wealthiest cities in the world for 2024 based on the number of millionaires.

Per the report, the world’s Top 50 wealthiest cities consider the “number of resident millionaires with liquid investable wealth of USD 1 million or more,” to compile the results.

That being said, according to organizers, New York City lands in first place with The Bay Area in second.

Tokyo, Singapore, London, and Los Angeles also scored a spot on the list, in that order.

As for Toronto, it placed 13th overall, first for Canada. You’ll have to keep going down the list to find Vancouver where it came in 31st place.

These are the only two Canadian cities to make the list. For the full list, you can check out here.

Last year’s results on a larger list not only had Toronto and Vancouver but also Montreal and Calgary.

However, they clearly don’t compare to some of Canada’s largest cities.
