World’s largest poutine eating competition takes place in Toronto this summer

Get ready to celebrate one of Canada’s most beloved cuisines. Smoke-A-Palooza is coming to Toronto this August and they’ll be throwing a Poutine Powerhouse Party along with the largest poutine eating competition in the world. Here’s what to know.

As a thank you to fans of Smoke’s Poutinerie, the world’s largest and original poutinerie, is bringing the most exciting Poutine Powerhouse Party to Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square on August 10th, 2024.

Jam out at the Rock n’ Roll stage show with a line up of 80s tribute bands. Crued, 80s Gone Wild, Sheer Heart Attack & Destroyer! Daredevil Circus Shows & Roaming Entertainers will be in attendance.

There will also be a beverage garden, partner activations, games and pricing. Oh, and of course, FREE poutine.

But that’s not all! The Smoke’s Poutinerie World Poutine Eating Championship sanctioned by Major League Eating (MLE), will also take place.

Watch in glory (or agony) as the world’s top-ranked eaters will compete in a 10-minute Poutine Eating Competition!

The current record holder for this feat is Joey “Jaws” Chestnut who ate 28 pounds of poutine.

This is one event you don’t want to miss out on.

So mark your calendars and save some room for Canada’s beloved dish.
