According to AGLC, “AGLC is pleased to support Calgary’s hospitality industry by providing the city’s bars, restaurants and lounges with more flexible service hours during the 2024 Stampede.”

From July 5th to 14th, bars and restaurants in Calgary can start liquor service at 8:00 AM.

On Parade Day (July 5th) liquor licensees along the route can begin service at 7:00 AM and some private events that obtain individual prior approval from AGLC can start serving as early as as 6:30 AM during Stampede!

As for when these establishments have to close, hours remain as is!

This isn’t the first year AGLC has granted early alcohol service for the Calgary Stampede, bringing back the tradition for 2024.

Drink responsibly and enjoy some early morning beverages, Calgary!
