There are some seriously extraordinary places in this world, and according to TIME Magazine, Toronto is one of them. The magazine has released its ranking of the world’s greatest places of 2022 and Canada’s biggest city received a nod.

TIME describes Toronto as “a multidimensional, forward-thinking, diverse city” that’s “begging to be discovered.”

The excerpt lists some of the newest attractions and destinations to open in the city, including the W Toronto hotel, the Frida Immersive Dream exhibit, ArtworxTO, and the massive inflatable water park now open at Ontario Place.

TIME also suggests some unique things to do while visiting Toronto, like lounging in the elevated CIBC Park, which has free wifi and incredible skyline views.

Toronto isn’t the only Canadian city included in the list. Tofino, British Columbia was also mentioned for its stunningly rugged west coast landscape.

Time Out Magazine recently came out with a list of the 53 best cities in the world in 2022, and Toronto managed to secure 27th place.

“This highly resilient city survived a long winter of heated outdoor patios, and now the food and drink scene is once again bustling as new restaurants, cafés and shops open up seemingly every week,” the description says.

Toronto scored highly in Time Out’s index for progressiveness and community spirit, and 80% of the locals surveyed said it’s easy to “express who you are” in this city.

It’s not news to us that Toronto’s a special place, but we’re happy to see it get the worldwide recognition it deserves.
