Guess what, Christmas lovers? Vancouver was just recognized by Condé Nast Traveler for having one of the most spectacular holiday light displays in the world – an honour that makes the start of the season even sweeter, if you ask us.
Among festive holiday capitals like Rockefeller Centre in New York City and Oxford Street in London is none other than Vancouver’s very own VanDusen Botanical Garden, which transforms into a magical wonderland every year during its Festival of Lights.
Recognized as “easily one of the best holiday displays in the nation,” VanDusen’s Festival of Lights runs from November 24th to January 7th and features 15 acres of vibrant light displays, glittering trees, and a festive carrousel, according to CNT.
With delicious mini donuts and hot cocoa in hand, garden visitors can peruse the illuminated grounds, witness the immersive Dancing Lights show, and take in over one million twinkling lights.
